Mr. Smith was born September 3, 1946 in Rome, Georgia the son of the late, Elbert James and Travannia (Raines) Smith, was retired from Georgia Power and a member of Pine Log Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Pat Smith, children, Drew Smith, Andy Smith, all of Rydal, Angela Smith of Cartersville and a grandson, Willie Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jason Henderson, Cuco Lopez, Benny Patterson, Alex Lance, Jason Thornbrough, Mark Rutledge, Tristan Lance and Jesus Lopez.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
