James Bagwell

James Henry Bagwell, age 62 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was born in Atlanta, GA on April 19, 1963 to the late Marvin Adron Bagwell and Cynthia Ruth Lunsford Bagwell.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Myers Bagwell. He is survived by his Sons - Aaron Bagwell and wife Devin Bagwell, Bryan Baxter and wife Jacqueline Baxter; Grandchildren - Blaikley Bagwell; Aspen Luchsinger, Brantly Baxter, Odin Baxter, Aubree Baxter, Jaelyn Baxter, Jacee Baxter, Marley Baxter; Sisters - Pam Timmons and husband Mike Timmons , Tina Eidson and husband Robert Eidson , Denise Lowery , Stacy Worley Brothers - Keith Bagwell and wife Tammy Bagwell, Weymon Bagwell and wife Heather Bagwell, Marvin Bagwell; As well as several nieces and nephews.

James or pops as so many called him was a very loving and sweet man. In his earlier days he was a hard working man who worked his fingers to the bone. He enjoyed spending any free time he had fishing and watching sports. Especially the Falcons. Nobody was a bigger Atlanta Falcons fan. He loved spending time with friends and family and would do anything for anyone. He was a man who never met a stranger. He was a second father or brother to so many people he came across in his life.

Then there is his love for birds, fishing, and plants that could keep him going for hours! Not to mention how many sandwiches he could eat in a day for days!

In his final year He loved his family and spending time with his newest addition Blaikley and son Aaron. With daily cartoons and dragging him out to Braves games we loved being able to build and create memories.

Between all that and his love for “Gunsmoke” other old westerns and sharpening knives, He was a man of knowledge and wisdom with a heart of gold. He is and will be missed everyday.
