

Mr. Knott was born September 6, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of the late, George Clifton and Bena Mozelle (Taylor) Knott, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, was a retired electrician, a member of the IBEW #613 and was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timothy Connally.
Surviving is his wife, Pat (Picklesimer) Knott of Cartersville, children, Melissa Rabb and Alicia Wilbur of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Kevin James Knott and his wife Brandy of Lakewood, Colorado, step children, Krystal and Mac Jones of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey Hamby of Marble Hill, Georgia, Darrell and Stephanie Hamby of Marietta Georgia, five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews and two sisters, Kay Knott of Montgomery and Ray Nell Owens of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June13, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Joe McKaig and Rev. David Owen officiating.
Graveside services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Jeff Hamby, Barron Dean, Hubert Picklesimer, John Owens, Cleve Gillian and Wendell Howard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Houghton, Jimmy Davis and the Men of Ambassador Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oakland Heights Baptist Church, 16 Highland Way, Cartersville, Georgia 30121.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
