Ed is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lee McCollum; son, Eddie (Judy) McCollum; sister-in-law Charlotte (Max) Ruch, nephews, Jason (Pam) Dodd, Doug (Jayne) Tatum; nieces, Dawn (Randall) Kirkland, Deanna (Wayne) Chastain, Ginger (Dayton) Millard and Jill (Jack) Neal.
Ed was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the GA DOT after 33 years of service.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
