
Mr. Hardin was born on December 18, 1942 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Jesse Hardin, Jr. and Evelyn Stephens Hardin.
Mr. Hardin proudly served his country in the Army. After his honorable discharge, he became a mechanic and was the proud owner of Cartersville Tire Service for many years. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed taking his sons anywhere they could find water to go fishing. He competed and won several trophies at the Youth and Senior Fishing Tournaments held at Dellinger Park. He also loved being outside in his yard, tending to his flower gardens and mowing his lawn. Mr. Hardin is of the Methodist Faith and was a proud and active member of Northside Methodist Church, Cartersville.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Hardin and grandmother, Lula Stephens.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Helen Gravley Hardin; sons, Allen Hardin and Steven Hardin (Suzanne) all of Cartersville; sisters, Janie Gravley (Ray) of Cartersville and Judy McCoy (Kenny) of Alabama; grandchildren, Jason Hardin, Valerie Hardin (Kevin Cloninger) and Hunter Hardin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, August 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. James Parham officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until service time on Sunday August 2, 2015 at Owen Funeral Home.
