Johnny Oliver Davis III

Johnny Oliver Davis III, age 78 of Emerson, GA was called to his eternal home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born in Cartersville, GA on January 5, 1943 to the late Johnny O Davis., and Mary Elizabeth Davis.

Johnny proudly served in the US Air Force and retired from Glad Manufacturing. He loved his wife Wanda, together for 57 years they traveled and enjoyed life. He was a great craftsman and loved to fish and hunt. Johnny was a member of The International Church of God. He loved Jesus and his church family.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister, Jan Knox; a host of aunts, uncles and friends, that all welcomed him home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Davis; brothers, Sammy Davis, Bill (Jackie) Davis; sister, Sue (Otto) Sullins; a host of nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
