

Mr. Soulis was born in Cartersville, GA on April 2, 1948, son of the late Paul Gus Soulis and Evelyn Bunch Soulis.
Mr. Soulis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in helicopter repair. After serving in the military he later worked for Lockheed Martin and then retired from the Sandy Plains Post Office after forty years. He loved to work with his hands and was a general contractor in the home building industry, here locally. He was also an avid car enthusiast and spent much of his free time buying, selling and repairing his vehicles.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Soulis; grandparents, Gus H. Soulis and Lelia Mae Soulis and Floyd and Ethel Bunch; uncles, Chris and Alex Soulis; aunt, Helen Spivey.
Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie (Alberto) Reyes and Lorry (Bruce) Brock;sister, Sheryl Soulis Cole; brothers, Keith (Linda) Soulis and David (Lila) Soulis; grandson,Chris Boston; nieces, Kaitlin Cole and Amanda Greene.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday the 27th of January, 2017 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Delashmitt officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with military honors presented.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight on Thursday the 26th of January, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff including nurses, Pat Brock and Kimberly Jones of Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for the loving and tender care given to Mr. Soulis.
