Margaret Ivenette Popham, 78, of Kingston, GA passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 after an extended illness. Margaret was born in Cartersville, GA on July 1, 1942 to the late Mr. Clarence George Popham and Mrs. Gertrude Waddell Popham.
Margaret was an animal lover. She loved her fur babies, Miss Priss and Little Bit. Margaret worked for many years as a seamstress for Cartersville Undergarment. She was a loving sister and a loyal friend. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded by her parents, her life partner, Raiford Free, brothers; Henson, Clayton, Ray, and Earl Popham, and nephew, Clayton Popham, Jr.
Margaret is survived by her sisters; Ruby Popham, and Ann Popham, brothers; Winfred (Virginia) Popham, and Jerry Popham. Many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Margaret's memory.
A celebration of Margaret's life will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at two o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Josh James officiating. Interment will follow the service in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jimmy and Randall Popham, Richard Cowart, Richie Banks, Levi Robinson and Harvey Jefferson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Vic and Clinton Woodall and Dale Brown.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the service hour.
