Minnie Lou Baker

Mrs. Baker was born June 15, 1915 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Harvey and Alice Adelia Byers Branton. She was retired from EZ Mills, was a member of the EZ Retirees, a member of the Cartersville Medical Center Ladies Auxilliary and an active member of Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John D. Baker, a granddaughter, Alicia Waits, four sisters and a brother, Hortense Kelly, Ollie Branton, Vera Roberts, Audrey Garmon and Wallace Branton.

Surviving are her children, John Allen Baker, Patricia and Charles Waits, Arnold Rueben Baker, grandchildren, David and Harriett Baker, Steven and Stacie Waits, great- grandchildren, Sean Baker, Brett and Brandy Baker, Jennifer Baker, Hannah Waits, Blake Waits and a special niece, Virginia Wright.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Harris and Rev. Scott Shepard officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will received friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
