

Nathan was a loving and devoted husband to April Jones, proud father to Albert (Callie) Jones and Ben (Kristin) Jones and the best Papa to Kensington, Braddock, Harlyn and Nora. Nathan was also survived by his brother, Dwight (Rita) Jones and sister, Marsha (Gary) Allman as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was born on April 24, 1954 in Monroe, Ga to the late, Margie Christine and Albert Curtis Jones, Jr. Nathan graduated from Roosevelt High School, Atlanta, GA and earned an Associate Degree from Dekalb Community College in physical education. His career led him to be a police officer for Cobb County and then retiring from Marietta City Police Department.
As the patriarch, his family will dearly miss him and remember the life lessons he imparted to them. Among them were, living a sacrificial life for Jesus Christ by putting others before yourself and never holding on too tightly to the things of this world.

Receiving of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, beginning at 12pm with a Celebration of Nathan’s life following at 2pm with Dr. Kyle Walker officiating at Cartersville First Baptist Church, 241 Douthit Ferry Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
