Odie Dewitt Guyton

Mr. Guyton was born March 22, 1945 in Bartow County, the son of the late, Hubert and Carrie (Chitwood) Guyton, was retired from New Riverside and was a member of Emerson Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Guyton, brother, Clifford Guyton and a sister, Carolyn Guyton.

Surviving are children, Greg Guyton, Timothy and Teresa Guyton and Teresa and Mark Lingerfelt, all of Cartersville, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sisters, Joanne Shurler of White, Dorothy Sanford and Cornelia Bagley, of Cartersville and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Burial will follow in Macedonia Primitive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hank Rollins, Marvin Henderson, Chris Henderson, Austin Gayton, Steve Watson and Bennie White.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
