

Phil is preceded in death by his daughter, Ansley Holdbrooks; parents, Thurman and Valera Holdbrooks; sister, Ann Holland. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Holdbrooks; son, Andrew (Amanda) Holdbrooks; grandchildren, Conner Holdbrooks, Ava Holdbrooks, Allison Holdbrooks, Smith Holdbrooks; brother, Tommy Holdbrooks, Bruce Holdbrooks; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Phil was a graduate of Georgia Tech and Whorton School of Business.
Phil lived a life filled with warmth, humor and an undeniable zest for life. He connected with people in his own special way, which made him incredibly successful in his career in the Energy Business. He was known for his kindness and generosity. He was also known for his outgoing nature and boisterous spirit. His presence was always felt in a room and his sense of humor never failed to bring smiles to those around him. Nothing brought him happiness quite like his grandchildren, who were his greatest source of pride.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Dr. Michael McCrum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A Celebration of life will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Cartersville Country Club.
