I just received a notice of a new comment and I opened it up. I am astonished that it has been 3 years. I still miss him tremendously, he was a mentor to me in many ways.

My condolences to Mrs. Wilson and the family. Mr. Phillip was a mentor a friend and such a great influence in my life. God sent Mr. Phillip to my life in 2013. I spent the spring and summer seasons that year learning how to build paint booths and had a front seat to a "good ole boy" and a world class salesman. He was always a man of his word to me and the people I saw him doing business with. He showed me so much and helped changed my thinking for the better. I along with my wife will always be grateful for the short but impactful time I spent with him. He has been missed and now that I won't ever get a chance to tell him my heart is heavy with sadness and regret.

Phillip sold me a lot of body shop equipment over the years, and after the first paint booth was installed, he and I started becoming friends. Phillip had a huge heart for people, he always treated us fairly and he did what he said he would do even when sometimes he was backed up against a wall. I miss him tremendously, I know will see him again someday, and what a great time that will be.

I just learned today that Phillip is gone. I feel very sorry and sad for the family and friends, I know my sadness as great as it is, does not begin to compare with yours. Phillip was a longtime friend and business associate. He and I became friends in 1996 when he sold and installed a paint booth for our shop in Acworth. All the years after we kept in touch, sometimes every few days and sometimes months went by. The last time I spoke with him was around March the 5th and he told me he had gotten over bronchitis and was doing well. I tried to call him today, and since he usually called back in 30 minutes I got concerned. I Google his name and there it was. 

God brought home a truly great man who unconditionally loved his wife Winnie and his children and extended families. We lost a gem of a man on this earth.....God doesn't seem to be making many of  them like Phillip anymore. 

Sad news,  Philip has been a friend and business associate for several decades.  Prayers for all. 


I always enjoyed our chats about my great grand father TJ Looney..it was always special to hear your memories of him in Whittier NC.

If I would have known that last time I saw you, I think I would have hugged you longer.  Phillip, you always made me smile and laugh.   To Phillip’s family he was a special person, and I know he is in heaven smiling down.   He will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss that twinkle in his eye and his laugh.   He touched a lot of people’s hearts.   Much love to you all.

Phillip Wilson was my brother we were raised  together  I was 3 years older than him. He got saved at the church my husband Darrell Haney n I organized  in Woodstock  Ga pastored  for 31 years.i was playing the song I must tell.Jesus phillip got saved  I believe  I played that song n sung over hours he cried  n cried   his mother got  to see this  he walked  away from sin that day live a spiritual  life from.then on we always  talk about Lord  so glad he in Heaven  rested from his labors  n hard work  he was.the good Samaritan  in this world help the homeless bring them to the church  n.pay the motel bill  feed tried to put them.on the right road.He would go out of his way to.help regardless if it INCONVENIENT  him.i know he was tired  glad he walking streets of gold  no more worries  no one to  please  no more selling  just rest from  ur labor   welcome home  God says

If someone would have told me that we would lose you and Dad so close together I would have never believed it. I still can't quite grasp that you are in deed in heaven now. Thank you for teaching me that we don't need to be perfect for the people we love,  just present and supportive. You showed up for us when we needed your support and for that I will be forever thankful, Uncle Phillip. I rest knowing that you are with Jesus and all our family that have gone on before you.  Love you always ❤

To the family of Philip, we will miss his laughter and friendliness and friendship at the pharmacy.  We always would be a step lighter after he had been in.  Philip you are in the arms of the Lord.  Take care of each other and never forget what a great man he was.
