Mr. Sukkau was born July 28, 1919 in Germany, was employed at the Daily Tribune News for many years, was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II, was a member of the VFW and was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Georgia Lee Hefner Sukkau.
Surviving are three daughters and a son in law, Laura and Mickey Dysart and Vicki Nicely, of Cartersville, Jacquelyn Sukkau of Eastpoint, Florida, grandchildren, Rodney (Nobby) and Kim Sukkau, Chris and Sarah Dysart, Heath and Amber Dysart, Carla Nicely and a number of great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, with Heath Dysart officiating.
