Ruth “Ruru” Morris, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Monday, February 01, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hazard, KY on September 03, 1935 to the late Homer E. Massey and Mary Lea Elrod Massey.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Morris; brothers, Jimmy Massey and Don Massey. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Mike) Reeves; granddaughter, Carrie Ruth Reeves; sister, Mildred (Lewis) Starkebaum.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Gary White, Andrew White, Connor White, Steve Massey, Mark Massy, Jody Lockhart, Scott Sanford and Jonathan Sanford serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
