

Mr. Salinas was born on July 14, 1961 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, son of Sergio Oscar Salinas. Sr. and Elsa Salinas.
Mr. Salinas proudly served his country in the Navy. He worked most of his life in the Safety Valve business and considered one of the top repair men. He was always taking things apart and putting them back together, working on his vehicles and anything that involved carpentry. He loved to hug and cuddle all of his family members. In his spare time, he could often times be found fishing and spending time outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sergio Oscar Salinas, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Elsa Salinas of Jacksonville, FL; loving wife of 19 years, Lisa Salinas; son, Chance (Christina)Salinas of Beaumont, TX; daughters, Natasha (Jared) Dupree of Beaumont, TX and Sara Salinas of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Ava and Noah Dupree and Jeremy, Alexandrya and Leeann Salinas, all of Beaumont, TX; sister, Grace (Dilip) Kare of India; niece, Sarika Kare of Washington, D.C.; mother-in-law, Diane Henson of Cartersville, GA; father-in-law, Clifford (Connie) Henson of Cartersville GA; brother-in-law, David Henson ; sister-in-law, Melissa (Jeff) Parris of Cartersville, GA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Becki Jones of Oak Grove United Methodist Church will be officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held for two hours prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Kidney Foundation.
