Sheila Carol Henson

Sheila Carol Henson, age 73, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Fittingly, Sheila left this world on her birthday, having been born in Cartersville on June 19, 1953, to the late Billy Franklin Burch and Elizabeth Evans Burch.

Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the foundation of her life. She shared 54 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ricky Henson, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and unconditional love.

She was the heart of the Henson family, the one who never missed a moment — especially when it came to cheering on her grandchildren at countless ballgames, whether close to home or across state lines. She was their biggest fan and constant supporter, finding her greatest joy in watching them grow and succeed. Sheila never passed up a vacation with her family, and those memories, filled with laughter and love, will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Elizabeth Burch, and her brothers, Billy Burch Jr. and Michael Burch.

Sheila is survived by her devoted husband, Ricky Henson; her children, Michelle Hill (Robby) and Adam Henson; her adored grandchildren, Christopher Hill, Carson Hill, Chloe Hill, Anslee Webb, and Emmie Henson, Luke Henson; her precious great-grandchildren, Rylee Webb, Amelia Holland, and Harrison Holland; and her brother, Melvin Burch (Rachel).

A Graveside Service to celebrate Sheila’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 23rd, at Sunset Memory Gardens, with Rev. Jeff Gentry officiating.
