Susan Berry

Susan was born on June 14, 1943 in Bovard, PA, daughter of the late Nicholas Jacob Sphon and Ethel Marie Leonard Sphon.

On occasion, God brings an angel across your path and sometimes you're privileged that they are part of your family. Susan Berry was such an angel to anyone lucky enough to know her.

When you met her, you knew you had found a friend. You felt welcomed and cared about. She valued her family keeping them grounded but also letting them all know they were a priority. Her strength, energy and determination was their foundation. She lead by example with compassion, loyalty, and perseverance. She shined as she brought life to the room as soon as she arrived. Always quick to laugh and have a good time, Sue loved getting together with family and friends. Laughing and sharing so many happy moments as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

In His wisdom and grace, God chose to bring Sue to Him on, Friday June 24, 2016. He & her family knew she was ready. Her recent arrival in Heaven will be celebrated and a future reunion greatly anticipated as those she leaves behind are secure in Jesus and the expectant privilege that we will see her again.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas E. Sphon.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty four years, Robert Berry; daughters, Terry Lynn Wilkerson of Cartersville, GA, Tracy Lee (Kenneth, “Richey”) Harrell of Cartersville, GA, Tricia Lane (Brad) Simpson of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, William Michael (Tammy Jean) Kriebel, Todd Robert (Amanda) Kriebel, Christopher Ryan (fiancé Cassie) Wilkerson, Joshua Lee (Jessica Lynne) Harrell, Tanner Caleb (Leigha Nichole) Harrell, Nicole (Trey) Willingham and Jesse Thomas ( fiancé Taylor) Simpson; great-grandchildren, Lucas Michael Kriebel, Caleb Riley Kriebel, Kinley Grace Harrell, Blakely Rae Harrell, Allie Nicole Harrell, Liam Thomas Simpson and Judson Carter Willingham; brother, Len Sphon (Lynn) of New Alexandria, PA; sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” (Donald) of Greensburg, PA; sisters-in-law, Rose Sphon, Barbara Lance, Beverly Hurd and Betty (Bob) Johnston; close family friend and her two sons, Khristie Kelly, Christian and Carson Kelly; numerous nieces and nephews.
