Victor Lamar Garland

Victor Lamar Garland, age 65 of Fairmount, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fairmount, GA on November 24, 1955 to the late Wayne and Edna Stegall Garland.

Victor retired from the City of Cartersville Water Department and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Louie Allen; sister, Sally Jane Martin.

Victor is survived by his wife, of 47 years Glenda Garland; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Mandy Jones Garland; grandchildren, Samantha Reed, Jeremy Garland; great-grandchildren Payton and Drew Reed; neice, Lisa Rachels; nephew, Randy and Tim Martin; Sister-in-law, Brenda Cagle Hodges and his ever devoted and faithful companion Missy, his blue healer.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Jerry Doyle Garland officiating. Wayne Garland, Tim Martin, Brant Martin, Larry Garland, Kyle Brown Lee Brownlow and Mike Bramlett serving as pallbearers. Bill Garland, Bill Bradley, Billy Joe Cagle, David Bagwell, Mike Barr, Kenny Ruff and Scotty Ruff serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Transitions Hospice Care for their tenderness and compassion they showed toward us. With much appreciation to Katie, Maigan, Redonna, Cindy and Daniel.
