Virginia Elizabeth Lewis

Mrs. Lewis was born June 13, 1928 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Austin Felton McCoy and Edna Mae Bell McCoy.

She was a member of the Center Baptist Church and retired from K-Mart.

Preceded in death by her husband, Luther Irvin Lewis, she is survived by her daughter, Sue Howard, of Cartersville, six grandchildren, Curt Lewis, Tammy Pinion Cynthia Schmidt, Shane Rathbone, Amy Faber and Melanie Lewis, a number of great grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Mullinax, of Cartersville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Faber, and two brothers, Austin Eugene McCoy and Leroy McCoy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2011, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery.
