Willene Graham Squires

Willene Graham Squires passed on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She was born on May 11, 1933 in Rome, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, A. R. Dobson and Annie Laura Davis Dobson, her first husband Kenneth Graham Jr., Son Alvin Robert Graham, Sister Betty Jean Gravitt, Nephew Richard Cochran and Daughter-in-law Cindy Taylor Graham .

She is survived by her loving husband A. L. Squires, Son Dennis Graham (Christie), Grandchildren Teigh (Maryann), Ken (Yumi), Josh, Jeremy (Danielle) Graham and Loren Kirkland. Great Grandchildren, Braxton Raines (Breanna), Landon (Morgan), Anzlee, Kai, Koa, Kenji, and Chase Graham.

Willene was a member of several religious and social organizations including the Eastern Star for over 40 years, Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church in Rome, and formerly the First Baptist Church of Cartersville, The Georgia Mountain Music Club, and The Cedartown Red Hatters. During her life she worked at EZ Mills and Wal-mart. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to sew for friends, family, and her beloved miniature poodle Tootie, who had numerous custom dresses. Willene provided a loving nurturing home to many lucky pups and was admired for her housekeeping skills and delicious homemade meals. She was proud of being a part of Nascar as a scorer and spent numerous weekends at the Dirt Track races where both sons participated. She even ventured to race her own Go-Kart.

Energetic and adventurous, Willene and Lamar enjoyed many camping trips to Florida, North Carolina, and the Smoky Mountains. They participated in numerous cruise-ins, parades, and car shows in their 1932 Roadster. They found joy in volunteering their time, singing weekly with a group of friends for residents at local nursing homes in Cartersville.

We will hold onto the joy and warmth she brought into our lives, as her memory and love will be with us always. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the exceptional Staff at Chulio Hills Health and Rehab Rome for their kindness, support, and loving care.

A visitation will be held at Owens Funeral Home, located at 12 Collins Dr. Cartersville, GA, 30120, on November 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A celebration of Life Service will follow at the same venue, beginning at 2:00 pm. Intermittent will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cartersville, GA. Pallbearers are Braxton Raines, Ken Graham, Jeremy Graham, Josh Graham, Landon Graham, and Teigh Graham.
