Aiko Jean Abe Moriuchi , 86, died April 3, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. She was born July 3, 1923 in Yakima, WA. She grew up on a farm in Salem, Oregon. She was the oldest of four children to Kurazo and Miyoshi Abe. She was married to Roy Shoji Moriuchi. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Phoenix Police Department, retired in 1985 and moved to Raleigh, NC in 2006.
She is survived by her sons, LeRoy Moriuchi of Cary, NC and Edward T. Moriuchi of Sun City, AZ; grandchildren, Tristan, Sierra and Kaitlyn Moriuchi; sister, Marcelle Yeroshek and brother, Toshitaka Abe.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ at 10 AM on Friday, April 16, 2010.
