

Anne was born September 11, 1946, in Durham NC, the daughter of the late David Baxter Price of Nash County, NC and Leatha Iola Perry of Durham County, NC. Anne attended the then Southern High School in Durham. Anne was a teacher at Cary High School and was passionate for education and learning and was devoted to all students. Her students and colleagues enriched her life immeasurably. Anne taught in the Wake County Schools for over thirty years. She was well thought of by her fellow colleagues and will be missed by all who knew her.
She graduated from Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 1968. Her first teaching assignment was at Alamance County NC School System after that she then went on to teach at Reading Lab, Washington University of St. Louis. She began teaching in the Wake County NC School System including Fuquay Varina, Zebulon retiring 2011 after many years at Cary High. Anne P Dailey was awarded a Masters in Education from North Carolina State University as well as awards for Excellence in Teaching by her colleagues. Recognized by her colleagues Anne medically retired after teaching for 38 years. Anne was beloved by all who knew her.
Anne began anew in retirement writing poetry and after being published was struck by illness. Anne was an avid lifelong reader, traveler and enjoyed cooking and collecting. Anne fondly remembered visiting Paris with the CHS French Club, the Cotes du Jura was an inspiration to her.
Anne is survived by her husband of 43 years, Eric Dailey of Cary and her sister, Pamela Jean Wysowski of GA. as well as her extended family of nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Wednesday February 19th, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Wynne of Cary, has been canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
