She was a retired high school teacher and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art with a major in art education. She founded The Cary Photographic Artists Photo Club in 2007 with 16 members, which grew to 150 members in 2015.
She is survived by sons, Jeff and wife, JoAnn, of Cary, Rick and wife, Debbie, of Feasterville, PA, and Gary and wife, Cynthia, of Silver Spring, MD; brother, Michael Sandman and wife, Mona, of Langhorne, PA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Road, Cary, NC 27519. A gathering will follow at the home of Jeff and JoAnn Hopp.
