

Billy J. Hallmark was the son of the late Imo Howard and Ora Hallmark of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is survived by Gayle T. Hallmark, his wife of 53 years; his daughters Jennifer L. Wing and husband, John, of Annville, Pennsylvania, Julie T. Beadle and husband, Joseph, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jacquelyn M. Owens and husband, Patrick, of Tabernacle, New Jersey; grandchildren Erin Beadle, Claire Beadle, William Beadle, Annie Beadle, Joshua Owens and Colin Owens. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Billy graduated from University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and University of Missouri-Kansas City with a master’s degree in business administration.
Billy served in United States Army as an intelligence officer. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a lieutenant colonel and went to work as a consultant for MRJ Consulting firm in Fairfax, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, North Carolina 27511.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
