Carol Susanne Knott Jackson, age 71, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born on October 19, 1951 in Dunn, NC; she was one of six children to Waldo David Knott and Doris Jeanette Johnson Knott.
She is survived by her daughter: Shawn Barnhill; son: Tanner, Jackson; siblings: Nancy Parton (Ed), Lynne Scullen (George), and Sallie Gossett; eight nieces and nephews: David Parton, Lee Parton (Julie), Scott Kreher (Whitney), Jason Kreher (Eirik Anderson), Casey Kreher (Joanna), Brandon Coward (Kelly), Cassidy Sanford (Dan) and Kellie Chaney (Marshall); and other extended family and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Donna Lodin and Timothy Knott; and by her partner in life: Richard Durwood Barnhill (July 2018).
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2-4 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Friends and family are invited afterwards to the home of Lynne Scullen in Cary, NC.
