I can’t believe it, everyone was right! They all said it would happen one day. Well on October 27, 2023 at the fine age of 75 it happened; I kicked the bucket! Yep, I’m gone! Once again, I didn’t get things my way. Thanks to that Cancer shit!
On December 20, 1947 my parents, Alex and Clara (Harshberger) Cinko told the world they had a daughter and introduced me to all as, Catherine Louise Cinko.
On July 13, 1974, I married John “The Lawn Mower Man” (Butch) Raspotnik, now you all know me as Cathy Raspotnik from, Windber, PA, Johnstown, PA, San Jose, CA, Cary, NC, Houston, TX, Camp Verde, AZ, back to Cary, NC, oh hell, there is nothing like home, 375 Ohio St. Johnstown, PA 15902.
Cathy will spend her eternity side by side just like she did for 50 years of marriage with her Babe.
WooHoo Shjon Raspotnik Sr. you get to watch the Steeler games with mom again!! But remember how loud she yells at the players and if you get new bruises, yep, it was her from hitting you during the games because she just gets so excited. Arthur Stiffler III, She’s back! Yep, your Grammy is with you again!
Also meeting Cathy at the Pearly Gates to greet and welcome her are her parents, brothers; Chiz (Charlie), Fred (James), Bobby (Robert), and watch out Shamoo (Gary) Mamoo is coming to join you. Along with Nieces and Nephews; Jodi (Kusch) Claar, Leona (Cinko) Kane, Tom, Mark, Bobby Kusch, Stacey Shelko and Danny Cinko. Man is there a party going on up there!!
Cathy was also a loving mother to three daughters; Denise Russo (Joe) of Cary, NC, Christine Stiffler (Dave) of Shepler, Johnstown, PA, and Cathie Dane (Dave) of Cary, NC.
Also known as Grammy to Ten Grandchildren, Amie Leverone (Mike), Angela Brown (Carlin), Richard Henry (Kristina), Alison Russo (Travis Collins), Lindsey Honecker (Cody Sr.), Conan Stiffler(Brittany Keefer), Karelia Raspotnik (Nick Nirschl), Martez Davanzo, Clair Raspotnik, and Shjon Raspotnik Jr.
Also known as GG to her Nine Great Grandbabies; Miss Lillian, Haiden(GG’s Twin), Philomina, Caden, Charlotte, Cameron, Haily, Cody Jr. Bennett and we can not forget: LuLu, Sebastian, Nina and Miss Fuzzy.
Cathy was one who loved to dance, you could see her doing the Jitter Bug with her sister; Sandy Gembinski of Riverside, PA and when she got on the floor with her youngest brother; Joe Cinko (Cindy Spicher) of Ebensburg, PA. Man could those Cinko’s really cut the rug. Cathy has been a member of the PNA Club for many years.
After the Steel Mill closed, Cathy said she had to get a job, she had to buy her granddaughter (Amie) Christmas gifts and boy did she ever. After a few years of working she got a job at Bestform in Johnstown, PA, she worked there until they closed the doors 15 years later. Then Cathy worked at the Dollar Tree in Richland, PA for five years before she retired.
Cathy wishes not to have a viewing or a service. She said, "if yinz couldn’t come see me or call me while I was alive then why come see me when I am dead. I am being cremated and I will be with my “Babe” forever. So before I go see my Great Creator I will be going to see the Great Cremater.". Then my daughters, Denise, Chrissy and Butchie will take over from there and finish what their mother asked for the last time.
If you would like to make a Contribution on her behalf, her wishes are to Contribute to St. Jude's Hospital.
