Chavon graduated from Cary High School in 1977. Following high school, she attended Brevard University and Wake Technical Community College. She was employed with the State of North Carolina Department of Community Colleges for 38 ½ years, retiring in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 37 ½ years, Thomas J. Casey; son, John A. Casey of Cary, NC; sister, Merri Vance Allen Wallace and husband, Steve of Stockbridge, GA; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, January 9, 2023 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
