He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary H. Bowen; daughters, Gydell Wells and Karen Bowen; son, Claude Julian Bowen Jr.; granddaughter, Betsy Adamson; and great grandson, Brent Adamson.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Monday afternoon, March 9, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC.
A graveside service will held 11am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.
