Born in Brooklyn NY. Oldest of 9 siblings. Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Affectionately known by her Daly family as “The Empress” she kept everyone cared for and in line. She was a champion for anyone in need whether they were strangers, friends, or family members.
Always generous with her time and talents she was the grandma who came with bags of games and toys not just for special occasions but for all the Mondays and Tuesdays alike. Yaya, as she became known in her grandmother years, was gifted with the talent to care for others. She cared for her husband Dan most diligently for his lifetime and end of life. She was the first to jump in and care for sick siblings. She loved watching mass with her sister Maryann and loved all her visits from family.
We will remember Yaya and her love of children, storytelling and fierce dedication to family. She is dearly missed.
Survived by 3 siblings, 5 children, and 6 grandchildren.
Arrangements to follow this spring in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
