Born in Holyoke, MA, daughter of George Richard Bonneville and Hertha Evelyn Geissler-Bonneville, she was a graduate of South Hadley High School. She resided in South Hadley until moving to Dalton, MA in 1954.
Our mom was a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women, Inc. for many years, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Assistant Director. She was a licensed Insurance broker and attained the designation of Certified Professional Insurance Woman. Before retirement, she was employed as a supervisor at the Elm St. office of Reynolds, Barnes and Hebb, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA.
She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a communicant of St. Agnes Church while living in Dalton, MA.
Mom loved the game of bridge, enjoyed cook-outs and picnics, and swimming. She’s also been a life-long Red Sox fan. Pizza with a beer and Blue Bunny ice cream were her favorite foods. Her dry sense of humor she maintained throughout her life, surprising and delighting those caring for her in her later years.
She is survived by three children: Stephen P. Kumorek and wife Donna L. of Swanzey, NH, Evelyn L. Alvey of Cedar Springs, MI, and James R. Kumorek and wife Donna M. of Cary, NC. She also leaves a sister Doris P. Bejan of Paris, France, five grandchildren (Heidi Tichy, Jason Kumorek, Erik Winquist, Stephanie Derby, and Katelyn Kumorek) and two great grandchildren (Parker Tichy and Josephine Derby). She was predeceased by her brother Richard G. Bonneville and sister Lois R. Laliberte.
