Florence Irene (Wesner) McCabe age 86 of Cary, formerly a long-time resident of Reading, PA., passed away on June 4, 2017. Florence was born May 11, 1931 in Gilberton, PA. She married her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Henry S. McCabe. They settled in Reading, PA in the 1960’s where they raised their five children.
Florence was a talented pianist and enjoyed music. She was a lover of pets, especially her dog Zoey, who also relocated with her to Cary. Florence was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to cook and entertain her large family. In fact, her Thanksgiving dinners were legendary. Florence loved all the holidays and found special joy in celebrating with her many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late Henry S. McCabe, loving mother of Connie Nora, Leonard McCabe, Patricia Gage, Barbara DeAcosta, and Cindy Masters, loving grandmother to seventeen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
