Guy was born May 9, 1929 to the late Troy and Nettie Haga. He was a veteran of the US Army and was employed with Pilot Mills in Raleigh for many years.
Guy was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Haga; second wife, Tammy Haga; 2 daughters, Mary Helen Carroll; and Connie Collins; and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his son, James Haga and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Kymberly Penland; Jennifer Akins; Jessica Blackmon; Dawn Bridgeford; and Paul Collins; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday, September 6, 2013 at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Blvd, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends 10-10:30 am prior to the service at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC.
