Jack Dale Young

Jack Dale Young, 82, died July 23, 2011. He was born on July 15, 1929 in Sissonville, WV. Jack served as a Captain in the US Army. He worked for Union Carbide in WV and NC as an Employee Relations Manager for 42 years. He will always be remembered as a loving father and grandfather as well as a loyal friend.

Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris L. Young; sons, Kevin Young and wife, Fran of Des Moines, IA and Dale Young and wife, Glynis of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Haylee and Molly Young of Des Moines, IA and Caitlin, Jaclyn and Ashley Young of Apex, NC; siblings, Earl Young, Jr. of Charleston, WV, Helen Slater of Spartanburg, SC, Robert Young of Sissonville, WV, Wanda Fisher of Sissonville, WV, Hobart Young of Dubar, WV and Larry Young of Rand, WV.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. Entombment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
