

Margaret Morrison Woodall, 86, of Cary, NC passed away surrounded by family on January 14, 2017. Margaret was born on October 1, 1930, in Benson, NC. She graduated from Benson High School in 1948 as salutatorian, and attended secretarial school at Woman’s College (now UNC-G). She moved to Raleigh in 1949 and worked at the Utilities Commission for the State of North Carolina. She married Dr. Robert R. Morrison, a dentist, in 1955. Margaret was a homemaker and raised five children with her husband Bob. Margaret was remarried in 2010 to Rev. Mr. Henry Earl Woodall.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who was involved in the Down Syndrome Association, women’s dental auxiliary, church activities, bible study, dance and bridge club throughout the years.
Margaret is survived by her husband Rev. Mr. Henry Earl Woodall; her children, Robert Morrison, III and wife Lorraine; Janet Turner and husband Vic; Leigh Walker and husband Greg; and John Morrison, her grandchildren, Robert Morrison, IV and wife Jessica; Kevin Morrison, Nichole Blough and husband Brad, Mitch Turner, Katherine Turner, Madison Walker, and Lindsay Walker, and her great-grandchildren Zoey Morrison, Elliana Morrison, and Silas Morrison.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son David Silas Morrison; parents, Silas Moore and Gertie Norris Moore; and her first husband of 52 years Dr. Robert R. Morrison, Jr.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will include family visitation on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3120 N. New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604, immediately followed by a funeral service at the church at 1:30 pm. Burial will be at Montlawn Memorial Park 2911 S. Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603 following service.
