Martha Jane Majewski

Martha Jane Davis Majewski, 86, of Glenaire Retirement Community in Cary, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 58 years, Francis “Frank” Majewski. She is survived by her children Lisa (husband Bill) Twomey, Jeff (wife Lucinda) Majewski, and Chris (wife Wendy) Majewski; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy.

Born in Mamaroneck, New York, Martha was the only child of the late Fredrick and Jane (Hoffman) Davis. She earned her nursing degree from Villanova University, where she met Frank. They married in 1961 and began their life together in Jersey City, New Jersey, and started a family. They eventually settled in Flemington, New Jersey where Martha worked in a doctors’ office and then as a school nurse. In 1977 Frank accepted a job transfer and she moved her family from Flemington to Cary, North Carolina.

Martha enjoyed life and embraced it fully. She shared a special love for the beach in Surf City, North Carolina, a place where the Majewski family legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. Martha moved to the Glenaire community in December of 2023 where she became an active resident and developed some of her most cherished friendships. Warm, and full of humor, she enriched the lives of all who knew her.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513, on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 am. The Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Ntuwa from All Saints Catholic Church in Hampstead, NC—a parish Martha loved attending while at the coast.

A reception will be held afterward at Glenaire Retirement Community, 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary, NC 27511 in the new building. Her ashes will be placed in the columbarium at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Martha’s honor to All Saints Catholic Church, 18737 US-17, Hampstead, NC 28443.
