Matthew Joseph Calderone

Matt was born on May 18, 1947 to Rocco and Margaret Tassone Calderone in Providence, Rhode Island. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and upon discharge married Linda Penrose. Matt had two successful careers, the first in the computer industry and the second as a Registered Nurse.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his daughter Leslie, his mother-in-law Mary Penrose, his brother-in-law Ron Penrose and his wife Gloria and daughters Laura and Sara and his sister-in-law Marjorie Calderone and her children Allison and Christopher.

He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Bob.

The family is grateful for the skilled, compassionate care provided by Dr. Steven Liebowitz and the physicians, nurses and support staff of Rex Hospital.

A memorial service will be help on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Visitation will follow at the funeral home.
