She is survived by her son, Jonathan Warren; niece, Dianne Allen; and nephew, Danny Allen.
She was always there for her family and friends. She began her professional life out of high school at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC. She stayed with them more than 50 years. She was well respected and made lifelong friends. She was protective of her inner circle. Described by her son as a lioness protecting her cub. She is going to be missed but the memories are strong, so she will never be forgotten.
A memorial gathering will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory on Nellie may be made to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
