

Born on September 4, 1945, in Wilmington, North Carolina, Nita lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and deep faith. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse, a calling that reflected her generous spirit and genuine love for people. Nita was a woman of many joys. She found happiness in decorating her home, tending her garden, and cooking for those she loved. More than anything, she cherished time with her family, who knew her affectionately as “Nana.” Her warmth, strength, and unwavering presence left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Her faith was central to her life. Nita loved the Lord deeply and had a fervent desire to fully participate in and embrace life, even through decades of health challenges. She lived with grace and determination, inspiring those around her with her perseverance. She also gave her time generously, volunteering at her church and at Falcon Children’s Home, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Nita is survived by her sons, Brent Gore(Julie), and Mark Gore; her grandchildren, Laura Gore White(Hunter), Kristen Gore, Wayne Gore, David Gore(Lindsay), Paul Gore(Skylar),Nick Gore, Maribeth Gore; and her sisters, Frances Littlejohn Martin and Millie Littlejohn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan W. Gore; her son, Aron Wayne Gore; and her parents, Aaron McAggia Littlejohn and Mildred Brunjes Littlejohn.
A memorial service celebrating Nita’s life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Shepherd's Church located at 6051 Tryon Road in Cary, NC.
In lieu of flowers, Nita requested that donations be made for the benefit of the Widow’s Ministry, care of The Shepherd’s Church.
Nita will be remembered for her loving heart, enduring faith, and the quiet strength within which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives
she touched.
