Reba Nell Brewer

She lost her arm to cancer at age 14 and gained her faith.

She raised 3 busy boys and a girl, cared for over 80 children through foster care and family children services, volunteered many years for hospice and led many to Christ before the breathed their last breath and also saw some die without receiving Jesus.

She also volunteered at a thrift store and prayed with many, leading many to receive Jesus there.

She loved our Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, strength and time and never wavered on that confession.

She loved people, loved worship, loved hearing God's word and loving sharing God's word. She was a student, not a spectator. She loved hearing, learning and then sharing with anyone who would listen. Perfect love cast out fear.

She drove to a drug dealer's house 2 years ago to tell him to stop selling drugs to her grandson. People told her they had seen his car there. The drug dealer laughed, asked her nephew's name and then stopped selling him drugs. Then a few months after, she cooked a meal and took it to the drug dealer's house and tried to lead him to the Lord. He told her he was a Jehovah's Witness. I would have loved to have heard that conversation.

Fearless, faithful, full of the love of god; she wanted everyone to have a chance to live for the Lord.

Thank you all for loving her as if she were your mother. Amazing love given to use from our Lord Jesus and amazing love shown by you - her friends and family - to her.

There will be a service Saturday, May 9th, in Winder Georgia.

She loved the people of Cornerstone, the teachings there and the Worship. She was hesitant to join the congregation and leave Georgia, but recently told her friends: if she knew it was going to be this good, she would have come here a long time ago.

Praise God.
