Sallie Teague Royster, age 75, of Wake Forest, NC passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Sallie was born on March 12, 1947 in Hampton, Virginia, where she attended Kecoughtan High School after having lived in such unique locations as Anchorage Alaska and Vienna, Austria as a child.
Those who knew Sallie best understood her love of all things cats, naming them in alphabetical order. Starting with Andy Cat, she made it all the way to V with Vinnie. Being a cat person didn’t stop her from loving on her two dogs, Chester and Sarge.
Sallie was most fond of her four grandchildren: Eve (age 17), Cash (age 13), Hayes (age 12), and Ellis (age 10). She enjoyed watching them play sports, visiting with them and talking on the phone as often as she could.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chuck Royster; her son, Boyd (Amy, Hayes, & Ellis) and her son, Jeremy, (Beth, Eve, & Cash). She is preceded in death by her son, Dewey Benton Overman III; her brother, Warren Harding Teague and her parents, Juanita and Warren Teague.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 15th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cary, NC (near 608 Page Street) at 11:00am EST.
