During the too-brief time that I knew her, Sandra filled her life with books, plants, and friends. She shared each generously and she is missed greatly.

Sandra was truly a good neighbor. She was very devoted to her family. She had an interesting career. She was warm, funny and a great conversationalist. She  faced health challenges with Grace. We will miss her.

7/26/21...so sad to hear today that Sandra passed away 7/7/21.  She was a strong and courageous woman.  Mike and Jonathan I am so sorry for your loss.  May God Bless you and all your family at this time.  Pat Waggoner

Sandra was a childhood friend from Hickory Grove Elementary through East Mecklenburg HS.  And, we both attended Amity Presbyterian Church.  Even though life separated us in distance after high school, I have many fond memories of Sandra as we were growing up.  I remember her smile, her warmth, and just those conversations between "us girls".  I have no doubt that had we been able to see each other in the recent past, it would have been a joyful time just visiting and catching up as true friends do.  I know that her faith has sustained her through many health challenges, and I can smile knowing that she is free of pain and rejoicing with her Lord.

Sandra was my neighbor and close friend and I will certainly miss her!  We spent a lot of time talking, gardening when she was able.  She loved talking about her family and extended family, and about her childhood.   We did Bible Studies over the phone.  She loved the Lord and looked forward to spending eternity with Him.  

Sandra was just a part of me.  We went to school together since the third grade and kept in touch all these years up until the time she was hospitalized.  We also attended the same church for a number of years.  I have told her on more than one occasion that I considered her a true miracle when she had a bone marrow transplant for one of many cancers she endured.   It saved her life and she gave God the full glory for saving her life.
She was a dedicated and loyal friend til the end.  She always fought long and hard to survive her many health challenges.  I admired her devotion to her family and friends.
On one of our phone conversations, I told her she was a chosen sister and she was happy to finally have a sister that she always wanted.
Many of her high school friends were praying for her and her family.  She had a deep faith in God and He has taken her home with Him.
I have always loved Sandra and that love will never die.  She was just so special to a lot of people.   God Bless You, precious angel.

Sandra will surely be missed.  She was my marble shooting buddy when we were children.  I will never forget the barrel shaped jar she kept her marbles in.  We have been life long friends.  Sandra was such a strong and Godly woman.  Always kind to everyone and was a dedicated daughter to her parents at their time of need.  Our daddies were golfing buddies.  I will miss her so much.

Sandra always made sure our neighborhood looked beautiful by serving on the Landscape Committee  for many years,  I always enjoyed our conversations. We  would see each other at the grocery store and talk over solving the community and world problems.   She was a wonderful, loving and caring person and will be missed so much.  She made the world a better place.♥️
