Wayne Briggs Honeycutt

He was born in Gainesville, GA on August 4, 1930, to O. L. Honeycutt and Lucy B Honeycutt. He was married to Fay C Honeycutt for 64 years.

Wayne had a career in Transportation Management for Pilot, Ploof Trucking, Burton Lines, Vance Trucking. He was a member of NC Traffic Club, Triple F Covenant Group at Cary Presbyterian Church, Carolina Alumni Assoc., ACHF & NCHC. Wayne had a passion for Traveling and Clogging .

He was preceded in death by Fay Honeycutt (wife); Octavus and Lucy Honeycutt (Parents); Leftridge Honeycutt (brother)

He is survived by Two sons; Craig Honeycutt and Brent (Sandra) Honeycutt; granddaughter Samantha (Troy) Dinges; grandson Stephen Honeycutt; and 3 great-grandchildren; Mason, Mariah, and Holden Honeycutt.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Cary Presbyterian Church, 614 Griffis St, Cary, NC 27511. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Rd, Cary, NC 27519.
