08/19/1962 – 08/16/2025
It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Mark Kicinski, a one-of-a-kind soul who left this world a little brighter, funnier, and more full of love on Saturday, August 16, 2025 after his battles with cancer. He was born in Buffalo, New York and is predeceased by his parents Mary Ann Yasses and Edward Kicinski. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Gina Marie Kicinski; his only child Annaka Marie Kicinski; his brothers Edward , Jerald and Wayne, sisters Gail Vogel and Annette; 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 3 great nieces; and lastly his puppy Bailey.
To know Bill was to laugh with him, whether it was at one of his witty remarks or silly jokes, he always brought humor and joy to those around him. He was an amazing husband, father, coach, son, brother, and friend. He was someone who knew how to have fun and live life, never taking anything too seriously. He loved hockey and found joy in all parts of the rink. Whether he was playing, reffing, or coaching, he cherished the community, and loved all parts of the sport.
Bill was always very supportive of others. He believed in people deeply and was always passionate about pushing them to achieve their goals in life. Behind his light-hearted humor was a man who had faced more than his fair share of challenges, yet carried them quietly and with grace. May his unwavering light hearted spirit and memories live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
No funeral will be held, Bill wished to be cremated and the family plans to take him wherever they travel, especially HHI.
