

Deforest "Dee" Adams, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, quietly slipped away on April 11, 2025, at the age of (83) eighty-three.
Dee leaves to cherish memories: Rose W. Adams, loving wife. Children: Scott (Darina) Adams and Kelly (Joel) Bigger. Grandchildren: Jasmin (Dmetri) Ezeuko, Myles (David) Fuentes, Sydney Bigger, Olivia Bigger, Nathan Adams, and Samuel Adams. Great Grandson: Aiden Fuentes. Siblings: Judith Lindsay, Joan Lattimore, Mary Jean Adams, and Donald Adams. Sixteen nieces and nephews; 32 Great Nieces and Nephews and Five 2nd Great nieces and nephews. Dee was predeceased by his parents, Deforest and Mary Adams, his brother, Ronald Stephen Adams, and his sister, Deborah Joyce Sims.
Born on March 22, 1942, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dee was the eldest of seven children born to Deforest Adams Sr. and Mary Nell Adams. He spent his childhood in the vibrant city of Chicago, where he developed a love for learning and adventure. Dee attended John Marshall High School and later pursued his education at The Chicago Teacher’s College. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he attended Keller School of Management, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to growth and community involvement.
Dee honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, where he proudly deployed to Vietnam, exemplifying courage, and commitment to his country. His service shaped his character and deepened his appreciation for the freedoms we cherish.
Outside of his military service, Dee was deeply engaged in his community. He had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of life through his lens. His enthusiasm for aviation led to his involvement in glider flights, while his interest in golf promoted both enjoyment and camaraderie among numerous individuals. A true lover of music, Dee enjoyed jazz and took every opportunity to travel and explore new cultures.
Dee's legacy is one of love, laughter, generosity, and kindness. He leaves behind his cherished family and countless friends who will miss his warm spirit and unwavering support.
The family of Dee Adams would like to express their sincere appreciation for the numerous personal visits, telephone calls, provisions, cards, and many other acts of kindness extended to us during our time of bereavement.
A memorial service to celebrate Dee's life will be held @ Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana on July 28, 2025, at 10:00am under the committal shelter.
