

Judy Irene Pittman, 82 of Stanfield, Arizona passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in the care of Gentiva Hospice with her son and daughter at her bedside. Judy was born on July 10, 1943, to Herbert Miles and Florence Opal Hand in Stroud, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leo B. Pittman, who passed away on June 19, 2025.
Judy had a passion for reading, and her home library was filled with well-worn novels that reflected her love of literature. She also had a deep compassion for animals especially homeless pets and was known for rescuing countless dogs and cats throughout the years, with her beloved cat “Mabel” that held a special place in her heart.
Judy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her kitchen was the gathering place for Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, and countless shared memories. Her Thanksgiving stuffing was a favorite, and her homemade lemon meringue and pecan pies were eagerly anticipated by all who sat at her table.
Judy is survived by her children, Donna (Daniel) Apodaca and Bryan (Jamie) Pittman; brothers Jim and Henry Hand; sister Ruth (Joe) Simon; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her eldest son, Bernie and youngest son, Keith; sister Patricia Hand-Quinn; parents, Herbert and Opal Hand, and husband Leo B. Pittman, with whom she now shares eternal peace.
