Patricia (Bartlett) Cooper passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. She was born on June 4, 1936, to Marshall and Sara (Andrade) Bartlett. A lifelong resident of Casa Grande, Pat witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth and transformation of the community she loved. She spent part of her youth on the Papago Reservation, now known as the Tohono O’odham Nation.
She loved growing up in the desert and cherished the unique beauty of its landscape. In High School she was the Annual Yearbook Queen as a freshman and worked at the Paramount and Chief Theatre in Casa Grande.
In 1954, she married Ray Cooper. They shared nearly 68 years of marriage—just three weeks shy of their anniversary—before Ray’s passing in 2022. Pat was proud to work alongside her husband, sons and father-in-law in the family business, Cooper Painting Inc. Today, the third and fourth generations of the Cooper family continue to own and operate the company.
Pat cherished her trips to Oceanside and camping adventures in Arizona’s White Mountains. She was a Little League Mom for many years. She was a devoted fan of Arizona State University and proudly watched the Sun Devils compete in the Rose Bowl twice. (One victory and one that got away.) One of her most treasured memories was attending Game 7 of the 2001 World Series with Ray when the Diamondbacks won the World Series over the New York Yankees.
Pat was a devoted lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was named in honor of Father Patrick Murphy, the first priest assigned to St. Anthony’s. She volunteered many years in the Hoemako Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara and Marshall Bartlett; her husband, Ray; her son, Charles Cooper; and her grandson, Kyle RayCooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Cooper; her sons, Stephen (Kara) Cooper and Paul (Carla) Cooper, all of Casa Grande; her daughter in- law, Roxann Cooper; her grandchildren, Myles Cooper, Rachel Spears, Chelsea Spears, Nicole (Abe) Cooper Lopez, Jessica (Jeremy) Morgan, Zoe Cooper, Chandler Cooper, Damien Holt and Charlee Stough; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Cooper, Keilani, Addison, Ian, Oliver, Mya and Liam.
Private services will be held at a later date.
J. Warren Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.
