Raul Jerry Ruelas, Jr. born on June 17, 1974, in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 51. Raul was a beloved, adventurous, and hard-working individual who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a resident of Ak-Chin Indian Community in Maricopa, Arizona.
Raul was born to Lucy May Jerry and Raul Flores Ruelas and was proud of his Mexican and Ak-Chin heritage. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication as a construction and landscaper worker.
As a family man, Raul was the father to six children: Raul "RJ" Rodriguez, Syrus Ruelas, Sadie Ruelas, Serena Ruelas, Sariah Ruelas, and Brian Ruelas. He was also blessed with three grandchildren. Raul shared a close bond with his three brothers, Steve Ruelas, Jeffrey Ruelas, and Saul Ruelas.
In his personal life, Raul had a passion for fishing, hunting, break dancing, listening and singing 80s & 90s music, cruising, gambling, riding bikes, babysitting his nephews, watching football games and movies. He loved talking to anyone and everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and friendliness.
A visitation will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church Mission, located at 16657 N Church Rd, Maricopa, AZ, 85139, on February 14, 2026, beginning at 8:00 am, a Rosary service will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass. Graveside services will be held at the Ak-Chin Cemetery immediately after Mass. Raul's family will host a memorial gathering at their home beginning at 12:30 pm.
