Carlos A. Cerruto, MD passed away at home on November 30. He was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on March 27, 1970 and immigrated to the US with his family at 13. He returned to La Paz, Bolivia to complete medical school and returned to Washington, DC where he completed his residency and where he met and is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rhonda Harmon. He was heartbroken to leave behind two children, Mallory and Spencer. He is also survived by his parents, Alfredo and Cinda Cerruto as well as his siblings Tatiana and Michael, and their respective partners. He leaves behind innumerable dear friends and colleagues.
Carlos was the best kind of workaholic, always making time for his family and helping others but fiercely passionate about his profession. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved a good chick flick. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the bible and was the definition of "a good man". Carlos wanted nothing more than to live, but there is comfort in the knowledge that he is now with his beloved heavenly Father.
