Carol Jean Hunter

Carol Hunter, age 82, passed away January 20, 2022.

Carol was born in Ada, Oklahoma as an only child to Earl and Rosemary Davis. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas with her parents when she was young.

Carol graduated from Our Lady of Victory High School in 1957. She was married to Robert (Bob) Hunter soon after graduation and together they welcomed Catherine, Patricia and David as she worked as a homemaker.

Robert and Carol moved to Colorado in 1969 where they welcomed Thomas to complete their family. Later, after raising their children together, she grew in her life of religious service as the wife of “Deacon Bob” and as a Benedictine Oblate. Carol also enjoyed reading books, drawing and painting.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her parents. Carol is survived by her daughters, Cathy Luebbers (Brian) of Grand Junction, CO and Tricia Hunter of Castle Rock, CO; Sons David Hunter (Susan) of Littleton, CO and Tom Hunter (Jennifer) of Castle Rock, CO. Grandchildren Jennifer Gutho, Breanne Luebbers, Michael Hunter, Katie Hunter, Jacob Hunter, Caelin Hunter, Sariah Hunter, Gabriel Hunter. Great Grandchildren Natalie and Joseph Piralla.

A funeral mass will be on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:30 AM to be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, CO.
